Speaker Bio

David Bouchard is a Christian apologist, missionary, and lay pastor who brings thoughtful clarity and pastoral compassion to conversations about faith, doubt, and life. Having spent much of his early life shaped by atheism and skepticism, he came to Christ in his early 30s—often joking that he may be the second most unlikely convert, borrowing the phrase from C.S. Lewis. That turning point did not come at a moment of collapse or desperation, but during a season when life was good, and it set him on a path of continuing to examine Christianity with the same skeptical honesty he once used to dismiss it.

David holds undergraduate degrees in Physics and Computer Science, with minors in Mathematics and Philosophy, as well as a degree in Information Assurance and Forensics. He later earned a Master of Theological Studies with an emphasis in Preaching and Pastoral Ministries, and is a trained Disaster Relief Chaplain, equipping him to walk with people in crisis, trauma, and grief.

In addition to ministry, he has spent decades as a cybersecurity leader, a field that demands clarity, critical thinking, dogged persistence, and steady presence under pressure. Those skills blend naturally with his pastoral work, helping him navigate difficult questions with both logic and empathy.

He also understands the reality of internal struggles. Having lived with depression, anxiety, and deep grief, David speaks to hurting people with unusual gentleness and authenticity. These experiences have shaped a ministry that refuses shallow answers and honors the complexity of real life.

Through Grace, Truth, Coffee, he helps people wrestle honestly with faith, doubt, suffering, and spiritual growth—always pointing both the mind and the heart toward the hope of Christ. David speaks at churches, conferences, retreats, workshops, and youth gatherings, creating space where people can think deeply, feel honestly, and bring their real questions to the table.
